Summary:

1. [lecture-python.myst] 4 open PRs re: lecture reviews in progress, merged: comprehensive link check, update all matrix notation to use bmatrix, applied improvements to np.sum() -> @ notation. Note: Will hold broader lecture updates until 26th August. Great to see the team starting to open PRs and assign themselves against a lecture to review
2. [lecture-python.zh-cn] translation work is continuing and the following have been updated multivariate_normal, updated multi_hyper, updated lln_clt, updated prob_matrix.
3. [lecture-python-programming.myst] review and update all links, adopt a new Timer() context manager and replace tic, tac, toc and %time. This week I will work on the new polars lecture.
4. Investing in automation via GitHub copilot to increase productivity and quality (higher quality reviews, solving simpler issues automatically, development of custom github actions) across the board.
5. [QuantEcon.py] full docs review of quantecon package, added a Timer() context manager to improve the style around timing comparisons in our lectures [lecture-python-programming.myst example], modernizing the code base to use @ operator in progress.
6. [QuantEcon.manual] updates to style-guide for the team include new guidance around numba -> jax conversion, improvements to guidance on nested directives, addition of guidance on Timing code and setting up timing comparisons, PR guidelines to assist with team coordination, and guidelines for automatic linking to other lectures and the manual repo now has the ability to preview html in PRs.
7. [meta] Hosts our custom github actions. Deployed (check-warnings, weekly-report), Development and testing (style-guide-checker, link-checker), Experimental (automatic workflow to keep chinese translations in sync)
