QuantEcon Weekly Highlights

Period: 2026-05-16 to 2026-05-23

The period's most substantial work divided between modernizing QuantEcon's lecture content and strengthening its internal development infrastructure. On the content side, random number generation in the Law of Large Numbers, CLT, and eigenvalue lectures was updated to the current NumPy Generator API, while course URLs and navigation were refreshed to reflect the new book-dp-public repository. In parallel, the contribution tracking tooling received the most concentrated burst of new capability, gaining LLM-powered summarization, structured data export, and a proper test suite, alongside library-level refactoring that unified dynamic programming test fixtures and miscellaneous hardening of the weekly report workflow and CLI identifiers.

Modernized random number generation in the Law of Large Numbers/CLT and eigenvalue lectures by migrating from legacy np.random to the Generator API.
