#178 (GitHub Org · Unified Labels, last touched 2025-08-08) and #290 (Standardized Labels for QuantEcon Repositories, last touched 2026-02-23) are both superseded by QEP-2.
They close after the estate is migrated, not before. Until the migration has actually worked they are the fallback record — prior analyses of the same problem, with their own inventories and rationale — and closing them early discards the only alternative account we have if the pilot goes badly.
#323 was a different class, and is already done (2026-08-27). It was added here alongside the other two, under the same gate. That was wrong: the gate's rationale is that an alternative standard is the fallback record if the migration fails, and #323 proposed the tool, which exists. Its closure was never gated on the migration.
It closed as a paired change, registry first so the dashboard never showed a closed tracker against an active row: QuantEcon/status-projects#22 moved the qe-cli row to stage: done with ended: 2026-06-11 (the v0.2.0 tag), then the issue closed as completed. Its residual scope went to QuantEcon/cli#20, QuantEcon/cli#24 and this project, with the sub-issue and dependency helpers left unparented as QuantEcon/cli#11.
