A Chrome extension that makes saving LinkedIn profiles quick and easy(neccesary for Virtual Newsroom intial onboarding).
- Download the extension
- Click the green
Codebutton on this repository - Select Download ZIP from the dropdown
- Extract the ZIP
- Windows: Right-click the downloaded ZIP → Extract All
- Mac: Double-click the ZIP to extract

Enable Developer Mode in Chrome
- Open Chrome and paste this into your URL bar:
chrome://extensions/ - Toggle Developer Mode on (top-right corner)
- Open Chrome and paste this into your URL bar:

Load the extension
- Click Load unpacked
- Select the extracted folder (usually named
link-snap-mainorlink-snap)

Log in
- After loading, a login page will appear
- Enter the same credentials you use for your Virtual Newsroom

Complete setup 🎉
- Once it says Connection Success, you can close the setup tabs
- Link Snap is now installed!
- (Optional but recommended) Pin the extension to your Chrome toolbar for easy access
- Open a LinkedIn profile
- Click the Link Snap icon → press Save
- You can sign out and switch accounts from the extension pop-up
- The pop-up also shows your currently active account
⚠️ If you sign in to your Virtual Newsroom account on a different computer, you will need to sign back into both the Chrome extension and Virtual Newsroom again on the previous computer
