Rana Faraz

Tech guy. Usually building stuff on weekends, shipping side projects, and seeing how far I can push an idea before it turns into a real product.

Mostly into desktop apps, web apps, AI tooling, and anything that feels useful, fast, and clean.

Weekend Builds

These are projects I have been vibe coding and adding to over time:

  • jira-cli - Jira Cloud CLI for auth, issue workflows, boards, sprints, epics, releases, and agent-driven terminal use.
  • UsageTray - Windows tray app for tracking AI coding subscription usage across providers, forked from OpenUsage.
  • pic-select - Desktop app for fast photo selection and culling.
  • pii-wasm - Browser-first PII detection and obfuscation with a Rust/WASM core.

Side Note

All of these were vibe coded on the Codex $20 plan.
