Summary

This PR adds a comprehensive guide for running a Republic AI validator node on Windows 11 using WSL2 with full GPU compute support.

What's Added

  • Step-by-step WSL2 + Ubuntu 24.04 setup on Windows
  • NVIDIA CUDA 11.8 installation for WSL2
  • Docker with NVIDIA GPU support configuration
  • Laptop lid close prevention for 24/7 uptime
  • DNS fix for WSL2 network issues
  • Auto compute script with automatic unjail protection
  • Cloudflare Tunnel setup for public result endpoints
  • Troubleshooting section based on real validator experience

Motivation

Many validators use Windows machines. The existing guides only cover native Linux/Ubuntu setups. This guide fills that gap and enables Windows users to run GPU-accelerated inference nodes.

Tested On

  • Windows 11 + WSL2 (Ubuntu 24.04)
  • NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU (6GB VRAM)
  • CUDA 11.8 + Docker 28.2.2
