Hi there 👋

I’m Fatima (Rose) Rahimi, recently graduated from Bard college with a degree in Computer Science. I enjoy working across the stack from insfrastructure up through the interface, and figuring out how the pieces fit together.

Last summer at Man Numeric, I co-developed a DAG-based correlation monitoring tool for the quant research team. It flags where correlations drop in upstream data pipelines, which can mean a broken signal or, sometimes, a trade. I also built out automated UI testing in Playwright and Pytest for a research app the quants use daily.

I wrote my senior thesis on forecasting financial time series with GANs, extending FinGAN with TimeGAN's embedder and attention over the latent context.

Outside of academics, I’m a student athlete and competitive swimmer. Training has taught me discipline, consistency, and how to push through difficult problems, qualities I carry into engineering and research.
