This page covers common performance issues such as low FPS, stuttering, hitches, and long load times.
- Lower overall graphics quality or select a lower preset.
- Reduce resolution or disable intensive effects such as shadows and post-processing.
- Close background applications that use a lot of CPU, GPU, or disk.
- Prefer installing the game on an SSD instead of an HDD when possible.
- On laptops or mobile devices, disable strict battery saver modes while playing.
- Ensure your system is using the high-performance GPU (if you have both integrated and dedicated graphics).
- Check if stutters happen during streaming/loading new areas.
- Look for background downloads, cloud syncs, or antivirus scans.
- Try temporarily disabling overlays that might inject into the game.
If performance remains poor after basic tuning:
- Use the Performance issue template in our public hub.
- Include a brief hardware summary (CPU, GPU, RAM, storage type).
- Describe the symptoms (FPS range, when stutters occur, how often).
- Mention your key graphics settings (resolution, preset, VSync, upscaling).
