Summary

  • Set dir="auto" on .ilabel, .dyn-mob-label, .dyn-fold-label and .dyn-fold-inner-label at each creation site, so a label takes its direction from the name it holds.
  • Drop the unicode-bidi:plaintext rules added in Fix: cut a tile label at the end of its own name #174. They move the cut in Blink and are ignored by WebKit, where the label was clipped at both ends and read "...ckup and St".
  • The labels are centred, so dir cannot move a name off its own icon, which is why the attribute is safe here and not on the Settings rows.
  • Add a check that every one of those labels carries the attribute, and a check that all four rules stay centred.

Testing
All green, plus the Docker build. Added 2 tests, verified to fail without the change, and confirmed the rendering in WebKit and Blink against a container running this commit.

Checklist

  • Stays within the project constraints: one container, no runtime dependencies, no build step (see CONTRIBUTING.md).
  • Tests added or updated for new logic, and the full suite, lint, and typechecks pass.
  • Docs updated if behavior or configuration changed.
  • CHANGELOG.md updated under Unreleased if the change is user-visible.

unicode-bidi:plaintext moves the cut in Blink and is ignored by WebKit,
where a Latin name on a right-to-left dashboard was clipped at both ends.
The labels are centred, so the direction can go on the block itself.
