SARE Project

Safe At Rest Encryption.

SARE Project

Chaos has conquered the world. Nothing is safe anymore. The shield that once protected us all is broken. They have quantum computers powerful enough to break everything ever encrypted by mankind. They have been collecting our data all along, waiting for this moment.

Panic and fear spread among humanity like a virus, paralyzing everyone and everything. The light has been sucked out of the internet we once knew.

That is the day SARE aims to prevent because it will happen. What can be broken will be broken.

SARE strives to be secure in both worlds, the post-quantum era and the present. It is hybrid by design, combining the best of both worlds to withstand attacks from classical and quantum computers alike.

It is built to be modular and adaptable, allowing new algorithms, whether for encryption, signing, or key derivation, to be integrated seamlessly without rewriting the core.

Security and privacy are not optional. They are foundations of human rights. By defending them, we uphold the right to life, prevent arbitrary detention, and secure the right to liberty and security. These protections enable the freedom of thought, conscience, and religion, including the freedom to change one’s beliefs. They safeguard the freedom of assembly and association and underpin a fair trial and genuine access to justice.

SARE exists to defend privacy and security online. By empowering individuals to protect their digital lives, we aim to strengthen civil and political rights in a world where privacy is increasingly invisible to governments and corporations.

Privacy is not just a preference. It is a civil right worth defending.
