Initial install not working

1. followed the install instructions in the README.md
2. booted back into game mode
3. installed the zip file via the Decky Settings
4. opened the plugin and hit "install drivers"
5. error "failed" installing drivers

I was able to get around this by going back into desktop mode, cd'ing into the plugin folder and running the ./scripts/install.sh file manually.

Booting back into game mode showed "drivers installed" and I was able to connect to 2 diff xbox controllers via the one USB dongle without any further issues.

Not too much of a bother for me, but I assume when the next deck update hits I'll have to go through the same process.

Hmm, did the script prompt you about kernel mismatch when manually ran? My friends Deck did and then upon reboot the Decky plugin then worked fine and allowed the install. Most odd, couldn't immediately see anything else potentially stopping it executing, no error code being returned.

Anyway, possible fix incoming!

hello, im actually getting this same problem, but i am on a custom box running chimeraos, same exact problem with the decky plugin failing and the script on desktop giving kernel mismatch saying im on beta instead of stable to switch back when im on stable, i understand since im on chimeraos this might not work for me the same but wanted to write just in case, thank you

What's the output of:
