These are all the improvements made between v1.3.5 and today.
I reverted
mainto v1.3.5 and kept these changes in this PR because they cause issues in Boodah.This is the issue report:

dmochijson2could encode that thing butjiffycan not.We need to add proper tests here that cover the corresponding part of the code and then we'll be able to merge these changes and create a new release.
