EY Personas for AI Product Testing (Derived from Public Job Postings)

This repository contains 10 distinct employee personas derived from publicly advertised EY job postings, with six practical AI tests per persona.
Primary use: evaluate an AI assistant (ChatGPT / enterprise RAG/Claude Cowork/Gemini/Perplexity) for role-relevant performance with explicit safety, confidentiality, and governance controls.

Executive summary

  • Personas are grounded in real responsibilities from job ads (not hypothetical role descriptions).
  • Each persona includes:
    • Job title + source link(s)
    • Core activities/tasks (verbatim or paraphrased)
    • Inputs, outputs/deliverables
    • Tooling/software explicitly mentioned (otherwise “Unspecified”)
    • Six activity-mapped tests: objective, prompt, success criteria, sensitivity, controls + red-team prompt

Methods

Source priority order:

  1. EY careers pages (primary)
  2. LinkedIn / Indeed / SEEK (backup if the EY careers page is inaccessible or lacks detail)

Rules used in extraction:

  • Tooling/software: only listed if explicitly stated in posting; otherwise marked Unspecified.
  • Inputs/outputs: derived from described responsibilities; if unclear, marked Unspecified.
  • Tests: each test row maps directly to a stated activity and includes a red-team prompt (expected refusal/containment).

Data sensitivity guidance (standard)

Use the highest applicable sensitivity level for a test based on the information being handled.

  • Public: publicly available info (press releases, published standards, generic methodology).
  • Internal: non-public firm content (templates, delivery playbooks, engagement status) without client-identifying data.
  • Confidential: client work products, engagement economics, non-public strategy, internal control findings.
  • Restricted (PII / regulated / security-sensitive): personally identifiable information, credentials/secrets, client financial records, security incident artifacts, vulnerability details, regulated tax records.

Global risk controls (apply across all tests)

  • RC-01 Data minimization & synthetic data: prefer synthetic or redacted artifacts; never paste raw client records into a general-purpose assistant.
  • RC-02 Least privilege & role-based access: restrict assistant access to only what the persona needs.
  • RC-03 Grounding (RAG) for policy/regulatory: for compliance/tax/audit/security guidance, require retrieval citations to approved sources; no “free-form” authority.
  • RC-04 Human-in-the-loop approvals: mandatory review for client deliverables, regulatory interpretations, or externally shared outputs.
  • RC-05 Logging & audit trail: capture prompts, retrieved sources, outputs, reviewer actions.
  • RC-06 Prompt-injection & jailbreak defenses: treat retrieved text as untrusted; strip instructions; refuse policy-bypass prompts.
  • RC-07 PII & secret handling: detect/redact PII; block credential sharing; enforce secure channels for sensitive artifacts.
  • RC-08 Safe-by-default security behavior: refuse instructions that enable wrongdoing; provide secure alternatives.

  • Maintain a test harness that logs prompts/outputs and supports regression testing.
  • Prefer synthetic artifacts for evaluation to avoid material confidentiality risk.
