MathModel Research

This repository is the independent research record for the mathmodel-weave project. The runnable implementation is maintained separately in the mathmodel-weave product repository. The product repository links back here for evidence and design history; neither repository requires the other to be checked out beside it.

What is here

The repository is documentation-only. It records independent investigations of six baseline projects, cross-project comparisons, the adopted fusion decisions, module contracts, and historical implementation handoffs. It contains no product source, competition cases, provider credentials, session databases, or upstream checkouts.

Reading order

1. survey/projects/ for one independent report per baseline.
2. survey/comparisons/ for synthesis across skill and runtime systems.
3. design/fusion/ for the accepted architecture and implementation plan.
4. design/modules/ for module contracts and status.
5. design/interaction/ for the human-control protocol.
6. history/ for dated engineering handoffs and verification notes.

design/origins.md explains how evidence, synthesis, and current decisions relate. sources/index.md lists upstream projects, revisions, licenses, and report mappings.

Relationship to the product

The product repository is the source of truth for implemented behavior. This repository explains why that product has its current boundaries and records the evidence behind them. Product changes should cite a report or decision here when the change depends on baseline behavior; research updates must not silently rewrite historical findings.

Citation and licensing

Cite a tagged commit and name the relevant report, for example survey/comparisons/SKILL_SYSTEM_COMPARISON.md. Original documentation in this repository is available under MIT License. Upstream projects and copied reference material remain under their own terms; see NOTICE.md and sources/index.md.
