We are a group of Imperial College London Students who formed this organisation for ICHack17, Imperials yearly hackathon. Our aim is to provide a service by which bars/restaurants/public spaces can have a customised music playlist based on the people listening to it. This will give customers a more pleasant experience in these areas and allow buisnesses to encourage customers back into their environments.
When you connect to Wi-Fi in one of these spaces you will have the option to sign in to the Spot-on-the-fly network and allow access to your public Spotify data via any web browser on a device. This will then use sorting algorithms to choose the next song in the playlist and allow users and businesses to view the current playlist. The platform also detects if users have left the network by associating users with their mac address, ensuring the playlist that is being made is based off the current users.
- Give businesses the option to remove certain genres from playlists. For example you don't want metal playing in most restaurants etc.
- Allow the application to work via bluetooth
- A proper app for android and IOS
- User interface for the businesses (web app/desktop application/andriod/IOS/tablet)
- Certification of branding from Spotify, will most likely incur a change of name
