Summary

  • Bump the official Ghost Alpine image from 6.64.0 to 6.65.0 and reset the StartOS revision to 6.65.0:0.
  • Update localized release notes for the bundled theme updates, sitemap performance improvements, and reader, analytics, and subscription fixes.
  • Treat this as a minor update: the release exposes no new wrapper-facing setting, precondition, or readiness signal to wire into StartOS.

The exact ghost:6.65.0-alpine artifact resolves on Docker Hub for both amd64 and arm64. The bundled MySQL image and start-sdk pin remain current and unchanged.

Testing

  • On an existing 6.64.0:0 install with published content, upgrade to 6.65.0:0, start the service, and confirm the Ghost Database and Ghost Server health checks turn green and the existing site and admin portal load.
  • On a site with members and a gated post, sign in as a reader with access and confirm its comments remain visible.
  • On a site with analytics data, open analytics at a mobile viewport and confirm the layout remains usable.
  • A site with many posts should rebuild its sitemap while remaining responsive and without abnormal memory growth.

Only npm run check was run in this cycle; the image was not built, installed, started, upgraded, or exercised live.

Merge with a merge commit — do not squash. next is long-lived: a merge commit leaves it a true ancestor of master, so it fast-forwards cleanly afterwards. A squash re-lands the same content under a new commit, so the branch is left carrying history master will never contain.
