Spawning Mechanics

All fish entity spawning conditions are based on biomes, day-night cycles, surrounding blocks, terrain conditions, etc. This applies when fishing at the current spot as well.

With a 15% chance to spawn with trophy size (configurable).

To simplify spawning, like in the Sea of Thieves. Enable the Simple Spawning Condition in the config.

Splashtails

It can be found in the ocean biomes.

  • Ruby: Common
  • Sunny: During daytime and must see the sky
  • Indigo: Common
  • Umber: 10% chance
  • Seafoam: During nighttime and must see the sky

Pondies

It can be found in the river and forest biomes.

  • Charcoal: Common
  • Orchid: Common
  • Bronze: Common
  • Bright: During daytime and must see the sky with 10% chance
  • Moonsky: During nighttime and must see the sky

Islehoppers

It can be found at around the island coast with specific biomes or required specific block to spawn.

  • Stone: Beach Coast
  • Moss: Jungles, Swamp, Mangrove Swamp, Lush Caves biomes
  • Honey: Requires Bee Nest or Beehive with honey filled within twelve blocks
  • Raven: In the deep cave below Y zero (underneath the cave at the coast region) with 10% chance or the player has blindness effect with 1/3 random chance (player doesn't need to be in the deep cave)
  • Amethyst: Requires Amethyst Blocks in 2 blocks range with total 12 or more blocks. (You must fill water inside amethyst geode)

Behaviors

  • Inflicting damage and poison to a mob when taking damage (Default to false, can be configured).

Ancientscales

It can be found in the Lukewarm Ocean biomes or around the ocean ruins.

  • Almond: Common
  • Sapphire: Common
  • Smoke: Common
  • Bone: 10% chance
  • Starshine: During nighttime and must see the sky with Moon Phase third quarter to first quarter

Plentifins

It can be found in the Warm or Lukewarm Ocean biomes.

  • Olive: Common
  • Amber: During dawn or dusk with no rain and must see the sky
  • Cloudy: During raining and must see the sky
  • Bonedust: 10% chance
  • Watery: During nighttime and must see the sky

Wildsplash

It can be found mostly in the Warm Ocean and Lush Caves biome, or in specific biomes or required specific block to spawn.

  • Russet: Common
  • Sandy: In the Beach biome at the coast or in the Tropical Island
  • Ocean: Only ocean biomes
  • Muddy: In the Swamp Biomes with 10% chance
  • Coral: In the Warm Ocean with any Coral Blocks in total 16 blocks or more and during nighttime

Devilfish

It can be found only in the deep caves.

  • Ashen: Common
  • Seashell: Common
  • Lava: Around Lava Source block within four blocks
  • Forsaken: 10% chance
  • Firelight: During nighttime and around Lava Source Block or Magma Block within four blocks

Behaviors

  • Attack undead mobs (Can be configured).

Battlegills

It can be found in the Pillager Outpost, Ocean Monument, Trial Chamber or during raids.

  • Jade: Common
  • Sky: Must see the sky
  • Rum: Common
  • Sand: In the Desert, Warm or Lukewarm Ocean biomes with 10% chance
  • Bittersweet: During nighttime and must see the sky

Behaviors

  • Attack undead mobs or ocean hostile mobs (Can be configured).

Wreckers

It can be found only in the Ocean Shipwrecks and Ocean Ruined Portal.

  • Rose: Common
  • Sun: During daytime and must see the sky
  • Blackcloud: During thunderstorm and must see the sky
  • Snow: In the Frozen Ocean biomes with 10% chance
  • Moon: During nighttime and must see the sky with visible moon

Behaviors

  • Attack mobs/players (Can be configured).
  • Swim around a nearby Shipwreck or Ruined Portal.

Stormfish

It can be found in the Ocean biomes and during thunderstorm.

  • Ancient: Common
  • Shores: Around the coast
  • Wild: Only in the Sparse Jungle
  • Shadow: Skylight less than or equals to 4 with 10% chance
  • Twilight: During nighttime

Behaviors

  • Chance to get lightning strikes if it is swimming nearby the ocean surface
  • Immune to the Lightning Bolt
