When private storage is unavailable, the app no longer falls back to a shared temporary directory. Status updates can retry when no status location is available, and window-raising behavior stops if required private storage cannot be accessed.
Status data is removed at startup only for non-screenshot runs when a status location is available. Screenshot runs leave it untouched.
Status checks now look for data in the runtime directory or the cache directory.
private_dir() creates $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR or ~/.cache if missing and
no longer falls back to a shared temp dir; without either, the status
file and window raising are skipped.

Walkthrough
The package version changes to 0.1.0-alpha.2. Private-directory selection no longer uses a shared temporary-directory fallback. Status writing and startup cleanup handle an unavailable status path, KWin raising stops when no private directory is available, and the Plasma widget checks the matching cache fallback path.
Changes: Private path handling
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Private path and status handling src/main.rs, plasmoid/contents/ui/main.qml, Cargo.toml
private_dir and status_path return optional paths and use the runtime directory before the rig-hub cache directory. Status writing returns false when no path is available. KWin raising and startup cleanup check for an available private path. The Plasma widget uses the rig-hub cache fallback. The package version changes to 0.1.0-alpha.2.
SusieeTheLinuxUser/rig-hub#5: Introduced the status-file and KWin-script paths and the Plasma widget polling behavior that this PR updates.

Before / after behavior
observed — Modified behavior in Cargo.toml: The package version changed from 0.1.0-alpha.1 to 0.1.0-alpha.2.
observed — Modified behavior in plasmoid/contents/ui/main.qml: The status-file path now appends rig-hub to the cache-directory fallback; previously, the file was read directly from XDG_CACHE_HOME or ~/.cache.
observed — Modified behavior in src/main.rs: private_dir now returns Option<PathBuf> instead of always selecting a directory. It uses the runtime directory when available; otherwise it creates cache/rig-hub, sets Unix permissions to 0700, and returns None if fallback lookup, creation, or permission setting fails. The previous fallback to a shared temporary directory is removed.
observed — Modified behavior in src/main.rs: status_path now returns Option<PathBuf> and yields a path only when private_dir succeeds. Its documented cache fallback changes from the cache root to the rig-hub subdirectory.

Review comments at @src/main.rs:
- Line 239: Update private_dir so the fallback cache directory is created or
validated with owner-only permissions before it is used for status files; do not
proceed when an existing directory does not meet that restriction. Keep
write_atomic’s status-file behavior unchanged.
- Line 255: Update the `write_status` handling of `status_path()` returning
`None` to return failure, so `Tray::refresh` does not store `joined` as
successfully written and can retry on a later refresh.

Without $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR, use ~/.cache/rig-hub set to 0700 (the
widget reads the same place), and retry the status write later when
there's no directory yet.
