I suspect this figure would be easier to read if the words lined up under each index number were left-aligned. (The human eye is much better at “popping” back to the same spot it started … it does not like to have to fish around for where a line starts.) This is also true of some other figures, but in those the columns are so short it really doesn’t matter.
