perf: ask InteractibleFurniture for a chunk's furniture on chunk load - #102
Main profiles, 22 hourly spark dumps 10-29 07:00 → 10-30 05:00 (peak ~30 players, ~23 ms/tick total). The chunk-load handlers walked every placed furniture per loaded chunk, about 0.38 ms/tick together. Some called furniture.getLoc().getChunk() on each piece, which looks up and can load chunks. The handlers: crafting, liquid container, churn, cooking station, meat hook, oven (load/unload), sandwich and pizza.
They now ask IF's existing getFurnitureForSave(chunk) via StationChunks.furnitureIn(chunk). It includes carried pieces like the old checks did, so the sets are the same. The speed-up comes with InteractibleFurniture's chunk index (TF-Minecraft/InteractibleFurniture perf/furniture-chunk-index). No IF version bump: the method exists since 0.2.0.
Documentation impact
Central Cooking documentation: no change.
Contract
Affected behavior: none for players. Stations resume on chunk load as before. A piece with no location no longer stops the loop with an exception.
Tests run: mvn test, 1313/1313 pass. Test fixtures answer getFurnitureForSave through testsupport/FurnitureChunkLookup; new StationChunksTest case.
Dev (10-30, 11:55–16:47 UTC): all ten perf branches from this round ran together (InteractibleFurniture, Cooking, Magic, RPCharacters, Thievery, VFBuilders, SimpleFactions, Archaeo, VehicleFramework, TrialRooms). Bot probes ran on these jars and again on the previous jars for comparison. No errors from any of the ten plugins in the log, including through a scheduled restart. The furniture-dense chunk 251_123 (churns, stations) loaded and reloaded with identical entity counts.
Player wiki: no change.
Notes
PlateManager and other timers still walk all furniture every 20 ticks; possible follow-up if profiles still show them.
The chunk load handlers of churns, liquid containers, crafting and
cooking stations, meat hooks, ovens, sandwiches and pizzas each walked
every placed piece a tick or two after each chunk load, and most called
getLoc().getChunk() on each, which looks up (and could load) that
piece's chunk. The oven unload handler did the same.
They now take the chunk's furniture from InteractibleFurniture's
getFurnitureForSave, which counts carried pieces where they were picked
up, as the old getChunk() checks did, and which the next
InteractibleFurniture answers from a chunk index. Each piece is resumed
or stopped exactly as before.

📝 Summary
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Improved how cooking stations, containers and food preparation fixtures resume or update when their chunk loads or unloads, while preserving existing cooking and burning behaviour.
Tests
Updated coverage for furniture lookups across chunks.
Chunk handlers now obtain furniture through StationChunks.furnitureIn(chunk) instead of scanning all placed furniture and filtering by chunk. The method returns the furniture manager’s save-set for the requested chunk. Test fixtures configure and verify this lookup.
Changes: Chunk-scoped furniture lookup

StationChunks.furnitureIn(Chunk) returns the furniture manager’s save-set for the supplied chunk. A unit test checks the returned set and manager lookup.

Chunk handlers use furnitureIn(chunk) for resumption, unload handling or relayout. The test helper and fixtures configure the manager’s chunk lookup.
The performance improvement from this change depends on an InteractibleFurniture chunk index that the pinned dependency version may not contain. Until that is confirmed or the dependency is updated, chunk loads may still scan all furniture and may still fail on furniture without a location.

…niture by chunk
CodeRabbit on #102: the chunk lookups only stop scanning every placed piece with
the indexed InteractibleFurniture release.

Finding fixed in 7449188 (compiles against the released InteractibleFurniture 0.3.0 chunk index). CI green; tested on Dev with the indexed InteractibleFurniture build.
