Summary

Adds a soup chart in the style of the vanilla brewing chart to /wiki/cooking, under "Your first soup" and above "Station by station". Clicking it opens the full-size image.

It shows:

  • the steps: boil water (20 s), add one main ingredient, mash, then ladle 3 servings into bowls;
  • what happens to an unmashed ingredient: Boiled at 15 s, Burnt at 30 s;
  • thickness on heat: Thin, Light, Creamy, Velvety and Thick at 0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 s. Adding any ingredient after mashing makes it Thick at once;
  • the extras: Seasoned, Well Seasoned, Rounded and Flavourful, with their Food and Nutrition bonuses;
  • Hot and Warm timings, and the best bowl (26 → 115 Food, 8 → 28 Nutrition, before quality stars).

Source

The rules and numbers come from Cooking 0.5.11 running on Main, plus Main's tags.yml, types.yml, naming.yml and the pot furniture definition, read on 2026-10-29. docs/docs/wiki-research/c-food-farming.md still has older soup numbers (thickness at 300/900/1800/3600 s, Seasoned ×1.1). The chart follows Main, not that file.

Changes

  • frontend/public/wiki/guides/soup-pot-chart.png (new, 1600×1500, 128 KB)
  • frontend/app/wiki/cooking/page.tsx: the figure with alt text, and lastModified set to 2026-10-29

Checks

oxfmt --check and oxlint on the page, tsc --noEmit and vitest run app/wiki (12 files, 139 passed) all pass. The production build was not run locally.

A brewing-chart style overview of the pot: boil, add one main, mash,
then thickness on heat, the four seasoning extras, serving, and the best
bowl. Numbers match Cooking 0.5.11 and the live configs on Main.
