Welcome to SeePHI!

This Github repository was created based on a project during my bioinformatics studies at university (as part of a "Studienarbeit"). It provides code that was created several years earlier.

The topic was the development of a web-based converter between different amino acid sequence nomenclatures: PHI-BLAST <-> Seefeld nomenclature. The latter was developed at Seefeld, Austria to highlight functional properties of amino acids in the protein sequence.

I did it in PHP with a connected MySQL database.

Attached you will find the thesis document for this project (in german) and the SQL code to create the database.
