How to identify EU27 countries inside TiMBA

• TiMBA has a similar table in the "Country" sheet of TiMBA/data/input/02_Additional_Information/additional_information.xlsx but values concerns only Europe as a whole.

Could TiMBA provide a way to identify EU27 countries?

Potential options for discussion:

• add a new column in the "country"' sheet with a true/false value for EU27 countries
• add a separate csv file with country metadata

The integrated aggregation of results provided with TiMBA is used for internal result checks to gain an overview about the scenario results. This aggregation is conducted automatically at the end of each model run. External users are welcome to adapt the content of additional_information.xlsx to match their needs (e.g., implement EU27 aggregation with rest of Europe instead of Europe).
We are currently working on harmonizing additional information input files across TiMBA-related GitHub projects. These changes will be merged soon into main of the respective repositories (TiMBA and TiMBA_Charts).

Such a list is fragile, as the country names sometimes change in different data sources (Czech Republic becomes Czechia, or Netherlands becomes Netherlands Kingdom of the).
