Description

Image

This is an inserter. It has a normal orientation of input and output sides.

What if I press the input side with a hammer to place it where the output side is?

Image

The output does to X+ axis (east). This happens if the output is in west, north, and south.
But what if you do the same, but the output is facing east?

Image

Input side overrides the output. I guess that's not intentional, is it?

(An absolutely identical scenario happens with output and input sides swapped. Input goes to east, and then output on east gets overriden by input)

Reproduction

Already explained in the description

Expected Behaviour

My fix proposal: when you change I/O to the side where O/I is, they both just swap places. Or maybe when I/O goes to O/I on the east has an edge case where O/I would instead face, say, west.

(Also, please add a bug report category for dev6)
