## Repository purpose

muFinances is a campus-focused financial planning platform for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, close, consolidation, audit evidence, and internal operations. It is designed for local or internal server deployment and uses a dimensional planning ledger, service-layer controls, secure audit trails, governed imports, and role-based workflows.

This repository is public so the project purpose, architecture, and development history are visible. Production deployments still require Manchester-specific identity, database, network, secret, and data controls before use with real financial data.

This is not a Prophix clone. The core design is intentionally different:

- **Driver graph engine** instead of spreadsheet-template-first planning.
