Record fixed-carrier selector floors and vertex-admission cost #170

Description

@erinepshovel-code

Observation

The provisional 26, 41, and later glyph floors must not be implemented as successive incompatible radices.

They are selector states over the one fixed 157-position Public Gonol carrier:

Public Gonol carrier: fixed 157 addresses
selector floor 26: normalized lowercase letters
selector floor 41: provisional wider vernacular admission
later floors: additional admitted addresses

Activating a vertex selects an existing Public Gonol address. It does not renumber the carrier.

Computational reason

Changing the radix from n to n+1 changes every previously encoded multi-glyph scalar, even when no source word changed. That would invalidate and require recomputation of:

  • lexical scalar identities;
  • prime factorizations;
  • scalar comparisons;
  • derived relationship artifacts;
  • downstream receipts bound to those values.

Under a fixed base-157 carrier, adding a selector vertex leaves prior addresses and scalars unchanged.

The computational cost of admitting one additional vertex should be recorded as:

candidate address activated
corpus occurrences discovered
new lexical occupants admitted
new pair relations created
prior artifacts invalidated

The intended final field is:

prior artifacts invalidated = 0

unless the fixed carrier itself is explicitly versioned.

METAPAT boundary

Distinction creates simplex.

Vertex admission records a distinction. The glyph's function is selected per occurrence rather than permanently assigned to the character: vertex, boundary, relation, operator, anchor, substitution, overlay, or unresolved.

The full Public Gonol has not yet been run through a complete METAPAT occurrence-role interrogation. Existing METAPAT-to-UCNS adaptation and bounded Phi authorization do not supply that selector grammar.

Nonclaims

This note does not:

  • freeze the 26-, 41-, or later selector inventories;
  • select punctuation or typography roles;
  • alter the 157-position carrier or its ordering;
  • select an English lexical floor;
  • establish a deep-recursion embedding law;
  • establish linguistic meaning from scalar or factor structure.

hmmm

The selector floors may grow as distinctions are admitted, but the arithmetic universe should not be rebuilt each time a door is opened.
