To start using StoryPlay, you need to get the software on your Windows PC.
- Go to the official download page: StoryPlay Releases
- Find the latest version. Files will have names ending with
.exe. - Click on the
.exefile link to download it. - Save the file to a place you can find, like your Desktop or Downloads folder.
The page has the most recent version and older versions if you need them. Make sure to pick the newest one for the best experience and fixes.
Once the download is complete, follow these steps:
- Open the folder where you saved the file.
- Double-click the
.exefile to start installation. - A setup window will open. Follow on-screen instructions.
- Choose the folder where you want to install StoryPlay or use the default.
- Click “Install” and wait until the process finishes.
- When done, click “Finish.”
StoryPlay will now be on your PC and ready to run.
To open StoryPlay:

- Double-click the icon.
- The main application window will open.
On first launch, you may see a quick tutorial or welcome screen to help you start. You can explore menus, open example projects, or begin a new story.
StoryPlay runs on most Windows computers. Check your system meets these basic needs:

- 500 MB of free disk space
- Screen resolution of 1280x720 or higher

If your computer is older, performance may slow when working on very large projects. Basic stories run smoothly on most machines.
