feat(cli): exit distinctly when validation coverage is incomplete - #267
A partial or truncated validation run with no errors exited 0, so CI could treat a scan that never examined part of the model as a pass.
Error findings stay definitive and keep exit 1, because examining more of the model cannot remove them; incompleteness only matters when nothing was found.
Absent coverage from an older server cannot prove the run was complete, and the client must never invent coverage, so it reads as incomplete rather than clean.
By-design skips are not gaps, but blocked or unrecognized skip reasons fail closed so a new server reason can never silently read as a pass.
Scripts using --format json get the verdict and its gaps directly, so they need no exit-code lookup table.
The exit 11 contract and the skip-reason rule are a proposed default and are written into the docs for review before CI depends on them.
Medium Risk
Changes CI/automation semantics for validate commands via a new exit code and fail-closed gap detection, including absent coverage from older servers.
Overview validate and validate-project no longer exit 0 when the server’s coverage shows the run did not fully examine what was asked. Error-severity findings still exit 1 and take precedence over coverage; with no errors, any coverage gap exits 11 instead of a silent pass; a complete run with only warnings/info still exits 0.
The client library now derives Completeness / ValidationVerdict from server ValidationCoverage (absent coverage, empty checks, truncated snapshots, partial/errored checks, and SKIPPED reasons that are not the documented by-design set). --format json adds verdict, coverage_gaps, and passthrough coverage; text mode prints incomplete: lines per gap.
Docs record exit 11 and the gap rules as a proposed default for review. Tests include unit coverage of verdict precedence and CLI integration against a scripted ValidateProject stub for partial/missing coverage.

Validation commands now use server-reported coverage alongside findings to determine a verdict and exit code. They report coverage gaps in text and JSON output. Documentation and tests describe and check these outcomes.

Summary
Coverage classification and verdicts rsworkspace/crates/trogon-atlas-client/src/validate.rs
The client retains the full model-validation response and classifies absent coverage, truncated snapshots, and incomplete checks as gaps. Error findings take precedence; otherwise, complete coverage yields clean and incomplete coverage yields incomplete.
Both validation commands use exit codes 1 for findings, 11 for incomplete coverage, and 0 for clean results. Text and JSON output include verdict and coverage information.
CLI validation tests and scripted responses rsworkspace/crates/trogon-atlas-cli/tests/validate_cli_integration.rs, rsworkspace/crates/trogon-atlas-testsupport/src/discovery.rs
Integration tests check clean, incomplete, absent-coverage, and error-precedence outcomes. The test server supports scripted ValidateProject responses.

An empty coverage report could be treated as a successful validation. Handle that response before relying on the new exit code in CI.

Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 13.33% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 15 functions across 4 files. (2 skipped: 2 unsupported.)
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.
