I found one test-gap to close before this catalog trim is merge-ready. CI on the pinned head is green; the branch is mergeable but GitHub shows mergeStateStatus: BLOCKED until review policy clears (CodeRabbit CHANGES_REQUESTED on review 5608714653).
Merge readiness
CI (confirmed at 5bb8873b2816e2cdaf5712b2936fb1b93462510c). Commit status success. All completed check-runs on that SHA are success, including typecheck, smoke-and-tests, dedicated-tests, unit-test shards 1–8, launcher compatibility, pr-intent-scan, and CodeQL (javascript-typescript, actions, Analyze). web is skipped as expected for this diff.
Merge-base decision: live-base-three-dot — reviewed range 78445348676d6c5797fc11d89eaaf0157d69de1b..5bb8873b2816e2cdaf5712b2936fb1b93462510c (single commit on main). Checkout mode existing-head.
Scope / standalone. Diff is 14 files, all gateway tests plus src/test/gatewayCatalogTestHelpers.ts. No production or vendor-descriptor changes; no dependency on unmerged #2324 (vendor catalog trim stays separate per PR body). This matches a surgical gateway-slice upgrade-plan PR.
PR body gaps (non-blocking). The loosened nvidia-nim TTL check (exact '1d' → defined + positive parsed duration via the helper) and the dropped exact concentrate display label (now non-empty label via the helper) are reasonable de-snapshots and worth a one-line note in the PR body for reviewers; they are not product regressions.
Behavioral test stability. For every test('…') name present on both merge-base and head across src/integrations/gateways/*.test.ts, the test body is byte-identical (91 pairs). No behavioral test was edited in place. Removed standalone names (for example hybrid-discovery one-liners) were absorbed into expectGatewayCatalog tables with the same assertions. The PR’s “97 unchanged behavioral tests” is directionally right; my count is 91 name-stable bodies because catalog renames removed/add names without touching mapModel/routing/auth tests.

Restore negative assertion that seven delisted opencode-go-* IDs stay out of getCatalogEntriesForRoute('opencode-go') |

Findings
🟡 P2 — Keep regression coverage for delisted OpenCode Go catalog IDs
📍 Where: src/integrations/gateways/opencode.test.ts (OpenCode Go catalog tests; merge-base had this beside the removed exact-set snapshot).
💥 What fails: Re-adding any of the seven previously removed Go model IDs to the static catalog (with a valid descriptor) would pass expectGatewayCatalog('opencode-go', …) and the remaining opencode behavioral tests, and could surface unsupported models in the picker again. The trim removed the only negative guard.
🔎 Root cause: The PR deleted the merge-base loop that asserted those IDs stay absent, as part of dropping the full go model set matches opencode.ai/go catalog exactly snapshot. The positive exact-set half was brittle; the deny-list half guarded a real delisting contract and was not replaced.
📜 Stated contract:
Explicitly verify removed models are not included — merge-base
opencode.test.ts(sevenopencode-go-*IDs must not appear ingetCatalogEntriesForRoute('opencode-go')).
🏷️ Attribution: PR-introduced test regression. Merge-base enforced the deny list; head does not.
📌 In this PR:
src/integrations/gateways/opencode.test.ts— add a focused negative test (or equivalent helper hook) after the zen/go duplicate-id test
🔒 Unchanged on main: Do not restore the full 13-model exact-set equality test or model-count literals.
🔧 Required correction: Add a compact test using getCatalogEntriesForRoute('opencode-go') that fails if any of these IDs is present: opencode-go-minimax-m2.5, opencode-go-kimi-k2.5, opencode-go-glm-5, opencode-go-qwen3.5-plus, opencode-go-mimo-v2-pro, opencode-go-mimo-v2-omni, opencode-go-hy3-preview. Keep existing expectGatewayCatalog cases.
test('go catalog excludes removed model ids', () => {
const models = getCatalogEntriesForRoute('opencode-go')
const removedIds = [
'opencode-go-minimax-m2.5',
'opencode-go-kimi-k2.5',
'opencode-go-glm-5',
'opencode-go-qwen3.5-plus',
'opencode-go-mimo-v2-pro',
'opencode-go-mimo-v2-omni',
'opencode-go-hy3-preview',
]
const actualIds = new Set(models.map(model => model.id))
for (const id of removedIds) {
expect(actualIds.has(id)).toBe(false)
}
})🛠️ Author fix: Add the deny-list test (or shared helper used only from opencode) in the same file as the other Go catalog checks; do not reintroduce full catalog snapshots or expand scope to vendors/#2324.
🚫 Out of scope: Changing the live Go catalog, vendor descriptor files, or CONTRIBUTING text from #2324.
Catalog trim assessment (no extra findings)
Helper location (src/test/gatewayCatalogTestHelpers.ts). Sound. artifactGenerator.ts only treats descriptor files under integration subdirectories and excludes *.test.ts; a helper under src/integrations/gateways/ would risk artifact churn. Imports from gateway tests via ../../test/ match existing test layout.
Per-gateway registry contract coverage. All 13 touched gateway test files now have a table-driven expectGatewayCatalog case (opencode: zen + go). The helper checks route id, non-empty label, optional base URL / default model, setup/validation/preset slices when provided, openai-compatible transport, optional openaiShim fields, catalog source, discovery wiring for dynamic/hybrid, positive discovery TTL when set, non-empty catalog (unless allowEmptyCatalog), default model membership, unique ids/apiNames, and modelDescriptorId linkage.
Loosened transport/TTL/label assertions. Field-specific openaiShim tables for api-route, commandcode, gmi-cloud, and llmtr still assert the same shim flags that were previously checked wholesale. nvidia-nim still requires a defined TTL string that parses to a positive duration (drops brittle '1d' literal). Concentrate drops exact 'Concentrate' label in favor of non-empty label coverage in the helper — acceptable for a test trim.
Removed catalog literals. Full model-list, model-count, and per-entry label snapshots were brittle and correctly dropped. The opencode-go deny-list is the one removal that guarded runtime policy rather than mirroring constants.

🟢 Thanks for the contribution. I do not see any actionable issues from my review.
Merge readiness
Pinned head: 940aa37e6e9158d9168f76fe3060bbf05ccdecf6 (two commits on 78445348676d6c5797fc11d89eaaf0157d69de1b..940aa37: catalog trim 5bb8873b, then deny-list fix 940aa37). Merge-base decision live-base-three-dot; mergeable: true.
CI (confirmed at 940aa37). Commit combined status success. All completed check-runs are success or expected skipped (web), including typecheck, smoke-and-tests, dedicated-tests, unit-test shards 1–8, launcher compatibility, pr-intent-scan, and CodeQL (CodeQL, javascript-typescript, actions, Analyze). CodeRabbit status context success (review completed on this head).
Incremental scope since r1 (5bb8873b). Only src/integrations/gateways/opencode.test.ts (+17 lines). No rebase drift across the other 13 files; full PR range is still the same 14 test paths plus src/test/gatewayCatalogTestHelpers.ts.
R1 P2 verification. test('go catalog excludes removed model ids') uses getCatalogEntriesForRoute('opencode-go') and asserts all seven delisted IDs are absent via expect(ids).not.toContain(id). No go model set matches … exactly, no model-count literal, and no positive exact-set snapshot reintroduced (repo-wide grep on gateway tests is clean).
PR body. Notes now document the nvidia-nim TTL loosening (valid positive duration vs exact '1d') and the concentrate display-label loosening. Minor doc lag: the summary table and Testing line still say 121 gateway tests / opencode 38; head runs 122 / 39 after the deny-list test — worth a one-line table tweak, not a merge blocker.
Local validation: bun test --isolate src/integrations/gateways/ → 122 pass, 0 fail on pinned checkout.
Prior finding closure
The r1 P2 (delisted OpenCode Go IDs) is fixed correctly on head. Non-opencode gateway tests that share names with merge-base still have byte-identical bodies (57 pairs); opencode gained only the new deny-list test plus the r1 catalog trim.

Catalog trim (unchanged assessment from r1)
Test-only, standalone from #2324, helper in src/test/ is appropriate for the artifact generator, per-gateway expectGatewayCatalog coverage remains in place, and loosened shim/TTL/label assertions are still acceptable de-snapshots now noted in the PR body.
Summary
src/integrations/gateways/*.test.tsinto one table-driven contract case per gateway, using a shared helpersrc/test/gatewayCatalogTestHelpers.ts(expectGatewayCatalog). Each case asserts the gateway's registry contract: route id, default base URL and model, credential env vars, transport and catalog-to-descriptor linkage.Per gateway (tests before -> after, expanded cases):
All 97 retained behavioral tests are unchanged: routing and URL resolution, auth/header shaping, credential handling, parse/validation, model mapping keep/drop and error paths, including all merge-gateway, custom and openrouter routing/auth tests.
Impact

src/test/because the integration artifact generator loads every non-test.tsfile insrc/integrations/gateways/as a descriptor. The CONTRIBUTING guidance for catalog tests is added in test: consolidate vendor catalog tests into per-vendor contract tables #2324 and also applies to gateways, so this PR leaves CONTRIBUTING unchanged. Some contract cases now check the supplied transport fields rather than whole-object equality, so new unrelated fields no longer fail them.Summary by CodeRabbit
