Proposal: Collaboration between Deadlock Mod Managers #2

Description

@Stormix

Hey @Tylevo,

First off, great work on your project! I came across this repo today and immediately noticed the similarities with deadlock-modmanager, which I open-sourced almost a year ago.

Since both tools aim to solve the same problem for the Deadlock community, I think it would make a lot of sense to collaborate instead of having two separate tools that overlap heavily. This doesn’t necessarily have to mean merging codebases, it could just as well be about sharing ideas, aligning on features, or even finding ways to complement each other’s approaches.

Some potential areas where collaboration could be helpful:

  • Feature parity: Identifying what each tool does well and seeing where we can fill gaps.
  • UX consistency: Making sure players have a smooth and familiar experience regardless of which tool they use.
  • Community benefit: Pooling our efforts to provide a stronger, unified tool rather than fragmenting the user base.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Even if we keep separate repos, I think working together in some way would be a big win for the community.

I’m also reachable on Discord under the same username if that’s easier for you.

Cheers,
Stormix
