DataSquad members tested the software on a set of medieval texts called Canon Law and found that while Layout Parser effectively separates sections of text, it is difficult to set up. Ultimately, they resolved this issue by creating a dedicated environment, or container, configured with the specific system requirements needed to run the software. However, they concluded that installation difficulties and the lack of robust support are major drawbacks.
