Welcome to the CMIP7 Assessment Fast Track support wiki!

These CMIP7 repositories are for documenting and reviewing the Assessment Fast Track Simulations conducted for CMIP7 under UKNCSP. This activity is a collaboration between the Met Office and NERC. Further information on the contribution will evolve in the CMIP7 AFT Documentation repository.

The following repositories are currently available (** note: ** some of these repositories are still under development):

• CMIP7-AFT-Support
  • Request access to the private repositories and for any general queries.
• CMIP7-AFT-Simulations
  • Document all CMIP7 AFT simulations being run with UKESM and HadGEM-GC5 based models. Document and review experimental set-ups via github issues with standard templates.
• CMIP7-documentation
  • Overview documentation for UKNCSP contribution to CMIP7 including Guidance Pages for running simulations, conducting reviews etc.
• CDDS-support
  • Support pages for CDDS related activities under UKNCSP.
• CDDS-CMIP7-mappings
  • Collect and reviews model configuration mappings for data submission from UKESM and HadGEM3-GC5 based models to CMIP7.
• CDDS-simulation-metatdata
  • Model configuration and experiment metadata for data submission to CMIP7.
• CDDS-CMIP7-processing
  • Document and process experiment data for submission to CMIP7/ESGF

Note

There is no dedicated support team for UKNCSP CMIP7 activities and so queries might not be responded to immediately. All support is provided on a best endeavours basis by dedicated Met Office and NERC colleagues.

For reference, the UK's contributions to CMIP6—including model configurations, documentation, and related resources—were previously available through the UK CMIP6 Trac system.
