Issue intake

Research intake follows the analytical-first decision flow in docs/RESEARCH_METHOD.md.

Intake flow

flowchart TD
IDEA[Idea]
REDUCE[Analytical reduction
contracts · invariants · exact state space]
Q{Question decided
analytically?}
ANALYSIS[Proof / exhaustive oracle / identifiability result]
RESIDUAL[Empirical residual]
PROPOSAL[Research proposal
H / T / D / C / U]
RUN[Native WSL, WSLc, hosted CI, or live allocation]
AUDIT[Independent audit]
EVIDENCE[Retained evidence / RESEARCH.md]
BUG[Harness / runtime bug]
REPRO[Minimal reproduction + fix validation]

IDEA --> REDUCE --> Q
Q -->|yes| ANALYSIS --> AUDIT
Q -->|no / residual remains| RESIDUAL --> PROPOSAL --> RUN --> AUDIT
AUDIT --> EVIDENCE

The diagram is an intake/navigation view. It does not require every idea to become an experiment, and it does not turn a bug fix or analytical result into a promoted runtime claim.

Automation

• workflows/ — GitHub Actions for runtime checks, release packaging, pages, research retention, and scoped live research workflows.
• workflows/README.md — workflow map and interpretation notes.
• wslc-local-containers.md — local WSL Containers (wslc) pilot and migration gates for container-backed research.
• Research execution is not universally Docker/container-first: follow docs/RESEARCH_METHOD.md to select native WSL, WSLc, hosted CI, or a live allocation from the frozen protocol, dependency needs, and threat model.

Workflow presence is not a support or promotion claim. Scientific status is recorded in the relevant research report and ../RESEARCH.md; user-facing release status is defined under ../release/.
