Codex Usage Tray

A small Windows system tray application that displays the usage remaining for your Codex usage windows. Hover over the icon for details; right-click it to exit.

Reading the icon

Requirements

• Windows x64
• An active Codex CLI login at %USERPROFILE%\.codex\auth.json

Run

Download CodexUsageTray-standalone.exe from the latest release and run it.

Limitations

The application currently has no configuration options and does not start automatically with Windows.

• .NET 10 SDK

Build and test

dotnet publish src/CodexUsageTray -c Release
dotnet test

Publishing produces a self-contained CodexUsageTray-standalone.exe and a smaller framework-dependent CodexUsageTray.exe.
