Adds a project status notice to the README.

plugged.in, the hosted service, is moving to a new, separately developed platform. After that move, this repository will no longer run plugged.in. It stays open source under its current license and continues with open collaboration: issues, pull requests, forks and new maintainers are welcome, and self-hosting remains supported. The cutover date will be announced at least 60 days in advance.

Because this is a client of the plugged.in API, the notice also says that after the cutover the hosted endpoint will no longer serve it and that it should be pointed at a self-hosted pluggedin-app instance.

The notice links to PROJECT_STATUS.md in pluggedin-app, added in VeriTeknik/pluggedin-app#262. Merge that one first so the link resolves.

  • Document that the SDK’s hosted API endpoint will no longer serve it after the cutover and link to the detailed project status information.

VeriTeknik pluggedin-app pull request 262 PROJECT_STATUS.md status

💡 Result:

**PR #262 is open, not merged** (as of October 5, 2026). It proposes adding `PROJECT_STATUS.md` and a README notice. (GitHub pull request 262 in VeriTeknik/pluggedin-app (link omitted to avoid creating a cross-reference))

The proposed status says the hosted plugged.in service will move to a separately developed platform; after the move, this repository will no longer run the hosted service. The repository is to remain open source, community contributions and self-hosting are welcome, and the cutover date will be announced at least 60 days in advance. Because the PR is still open, these are proposed changes—not yet confirmed as merged project documentation.
