Vahan Ops

One view of an Indian vehicle's legal state — challans across every government system, virtual-court cases, PUC, insurance, and registration — with change alerts.

Status: pre-alpha / P1 in progress. Portals change frequently; expect breakage and please report it.

Why

A single vehicle's "pending challans" question required eight different portals to answer fully — Parivahan (two generations), the Delhi notice portal, several state virtual courts (Delhi alone has two departments), Vahan, the PUC portal, and aggregator apps. Each shows a different subset. Challans silently move between systems (department → court) and vanish from the first. Vahan Ops automates the sweep and reconciles the answers.

Features (planned / in progress)

• Multi-source sweep: Parivahan NextGen + legacy, Delhi Traffic Police notices, Virtual Courts (per state/department), Vahan RC status, PUC certificates
• Reconciliation into a single register (Markdown + JSON) with diffs between runs
• Human-in-the-loop captcha channel (file-based; WhatsApp/ntfy adapters planned); pluggable solvers
• SMS-based discovery of new challan numbers (macOS Messages)
• Court-deadline and renewal alerts

Captcha flow: the tool writes captcha/<source>.png and waits for captcha/<source>.txt. Solve it yourself, or point a vision model at it.

Legal & ethics

This tool reads your own vehicle's public records at low volume. It does not bypass access controls, does not automate payments, and stores no credentials in the repo. Use responsibly and respect the portals' terms.
