Welcome to the SF6 Slots Loader Wiki.
SF6 Slots Loader adds new selectable slots to Street Fighter 6 without replacing the game's original content.
The project is currently in Pre-Release testing and is developing quickly.
Recent builds have made major improvements to costume compatibility, including support for many older, modular and partial mods that previously failed to load correctly.
Large-scale testing has now reached 189 costume mods loaded successfully in the same setup, with most earlier compatibility problems now resolved.
Current testing is focused mainly on:
- Online Matches
- Stage Slots
- Remaining edge cases found with very large mod collections
Information about installing and using additional costume slots.
Costume mods can be added as additional selectable outfit slots without replacing the original game costumes.
For the current Pre-Release build, installation is simple: place the mod archive directly into the correct character folder.
Navigate to:
Street Fighter 6\reframework\costume_mods
Inside costume_mods, open the folder for the character the mod belongs to.
Place the mod archive directly inside that character folder.
For example:
Street Fighter 6
└── reframework
└── costume_mods
└── Yasmine
└── Yasmine Grace Outfit C2.rar
The mod can remain in its original archive format.
Supported formats include:
.zip.7z.rar- A folder containing the mod's
nativesstructure - Supported
.pakfiles
Restart Street Fighter 6 after adding the mod.
The loader will detect the mod and create the additional costume slot automatically.
To remove a costume mod, delete its archive or folder from the relevant character folder.
Restart the game and the costume slots will be rebuilt automatically.
The current Pre-Release build has been tested with large numbers of costume mods, including older, modular and partial mods.
Most earlier compatibility issues have now been resolved by the loader.
Remaining issues and current testing information will be documented as they are found.
Stage Slots are currently an experimental feature.
Stage mods can be added as additional selectable variants of the original Street Fighter 6 stages.
Navigate to:
Street Fighter 6\reframework\stage_mods
Place the stage mod directly inside the stage_mods folder.
For example:
Street Fighter 6
└── reframework
└── stage_mods
└── Mod.zip
Stage mods should be placed here exactly as downloaded.
Supported formats include:
.zip.7z.rar- A folder containing a
nativesstructure .pak
Restart Street Fighter 6 after adding the mod.
The first launch after adding a large archive may take a few seconds longer while the mod is unpacked into the hidden
.cachefolder.
Go to:
Fighting Ground → Versus → Stage Select
If a stage has additional Stage Slot mods installed, the stage name will appear between UP / DOWN indicators.
Use UP / DOWN to cycle between:
- The original stage
- Each installed variant for that stage
The stage name and preview image will update to match the selected variant.
The selected variant is also shown on the VS screen and will be loaded for the battle.
Each option included in a stage mod can create its own selectable stage variant.
The selected variant is stored separately for each stage.
Once selected, that version of the stage is used whenever the stage loads, including:
- Versus
- Training
- Arcade
- Replays
- Online modes
The selection is local.
When playing online, the other player sees whichever version of that stage is selected on their own system.
To return to the original stage, select the original version again from the stage select screen.
Delete the mod archive or folder from:
Street Fighter 6\reframework\stage_mods
The Stage Slot PAK will be rebuilt automatically the next time the game starts.
The hidden .cache folder can also be deleted at any time if required.
Stage mods installed through Fluffy Mod Manager currently continue to replace the original stage.
They are not yet treated as selectable Stage Slot variants.
Stage Slots are still experimental.
A stage mod that hangs or crashes the game when installed normally may also hang or crash when used through Stage Slots.
Online stage behaviour is still being tested.
When reporting a Stage Slot issue, include:
- A link to the stage mod
- A description of the problem
-
SF6_StageSlots.logfrom the Street Fighter 6 game folder
SF6 Slots Loader is still under active development, and features can change significantly between test builds.
Older compatibility results may no longer apply to the current version, as many issues discovered during early testing have since been fixed automatically by the loader.
Additional features are also being developed and tested and will be documented here when they are ready for wider use.
