## macOS 27 — Helper Installation Fix / Unofficial Test Build

Hi @XiaoMiku01,

I encountered an issue while running TetherKit on macOS 27 where the privileged helper installation fails with:

Bootstrap failed: 5: Input/output error

After investigating the launchd logs, the issue appears to occur when the installed LaunchDaemon plist has the com.apple.quarantine extended attribute.

The relevant launchd message was:

Refusing to execute/trust quarantined program/file

Fix

I tested a fix in gui/Scripts/install-helper.sh that removes the com.apple.quarantine attribute from the installed LaunchDaemon plist before registering it with launchctl.

The fix has been tested on Apple Silicon / macOS 27.
