When Codex Desktop moves its bundled CLI, a saved path to Contents/Resources/codex becomes invalid and Team Cross previously stopped discovery. This change recognizes the new Contents/Resources/codex-cli/CodexCLI.app/Contents/MacOS/codex layout and recovers an old bundled path within the same application.

• Share CLI discovery across native collaboration, launches and plugin setup. Preserve explicit custom paths; support system/user Applications, common command directories and a bounded, cached login-shell PATH fallback.
• Keep saved settings separate from effective detection results. Show the active CLI, version, source and recovery guidance; preserve unsaved edits on recheck and keep automatic settings empty when saving.
• Update the discovery contract, API fields, regression coverage and both embedded Web bundles. Codex installation and updates continue to use the user's existing installation channel.

Validation: go test ./..., go vet ./..., relevant Go race tests, Web check/test/build (155 tests), macOS arm64 build, documentation links and git diff --check passed locally. Real browser checks cover Chinese/English, light/dark themes and 768/1024/1440 widths. The actual bundled Codex CLI 0.160.0 passed the dedicated TUI/MCP collaboration gate using gpt-5.6-luna on two local Cores. Full dedicated Desktop login/approval flows and two-Mac scenarios were outside this verification. Details are recorded in docs/agent-wiki/tasks/finished_archived/2026-10-04-codex-discovery.md.

The branch starts from local Meta at ae66ff6. Relative to remote Meta, it also carries the two existing documentation commits 181d44f and ae66ff6, followed by the implementation and verification commits def4ab0 and 34cbfaf. Uncommitted work from the original checkout is excluded.
