Well-scoped SKILL.md frontmatter validation matching the same Hermes v0.21 hardline as the sibling Orchestra/Sigil-Forge PRs. Frontmatter parsing tries yaml.safe_load first (safe) and only falls back to a small stdlib parser if PyYAML isn't available — no unsafe eval/exec. New checks (required keys, ≤60-char description ending in period, author-credits-human, tags/related_skills, version match) are covered by an expanded test_hyperlex.py asserting each new check key. Version bump 0.4.0→0.4.1 consistent across VERSION/manifest/pyproject. All CI (build + validate on py3.10/3.11/3.12) passes.
