Closes #607
Closes #608
Closes #610
Closes #611

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Tests
    • Expanded coverage for notification preferences, including permission updates, sound controls, and audio frequency settings.
    • Added authentication verification checks for invalid signatures and malformed transactions.
    • Added coverage for consolidated store payment totals, missing data, and query errors.
    • Added evidence upload checks for file validation, upload status, error handling, and drag-and-drop behavior.

📝 Walkthrough

Adds tests for notification preferences, evidence uploads, authentication verification, and consolidated store reporting. The tests cover UI states, upload outcomes, route responses, and data aggregation.

Changes: Notification preferences tests

Layer / File(s) Summary
Permission states
apps/web/components/settings/NotificationPreferences.test.tsx
Tests initial permission display and button visibility after permission requests resolve to denied or granted.
Sound controls
apps/web/components/settings/NotificationPreferences.test.tsx
Tests tone-control visibility, retained frequency, slider bounds, and audio playback at the selected frequency.

Evidence upload tests

Layer / File(s) Summary
File validation and invalid drops
apps/web/src/components/disputes/EvidenceUpload.test.tsx
Tests file type and size validation, and confirms invalid drops do not call fetch.
Upload lifecycle
apps/web/src/components/disputes/EvidenceUpload.test.tsx
Tests the encoded request path and multipart fields, pending and completed statuses, error responses, and optional onUploaded behavior.
Drag-and-drop behavior
apps/web/src/components/disputes/EvidenceUpload.test.tsx
Tests drag event handling, dragging styles, and empty file drops.

Authentication verification tests

Layer / File(s) Summary
Signature and malformed XDR cases
apps/web/src/app/api/auth/verify/route.test.ts
Tests that an unrelated signature returns 401 without consuming the nonce or creating a session, and that malformed XDR returns 400.

Consolidated reporting route tests

Layer / File(s) Summary
Route setup and identity handling
apps/web/src/app/api/merchant/stores/consolidated/route.test.ts
Tests database configuration and identity responses, including identity-header precedence.
Per-store reporting and totals
apps/web/src/app/api/merchant/stores/consolidated/route.test.ts
Tests per-store payment queries, store results, merged totals, and stores with no payments.
Query error response
apps/web/src/app/api/merchant/stores/consolidated/route.test.ts
Tests that query failures return a generic error without exposing database details.

Full details: Linked Issues check

Explanation

The four active linked issues are test-only objectives. The PR adds the required cases in the owned test files. #607 covers wrong-keypair 401 behavior, nonce and session effects, and malformed XDR 400 behavior. #608 covers database, identity, header precedence, store scoping, decimal aggregation, empty stores, and generic 500 behavior. #610 covers permission states, async outcomes, sound toggle retention, slider bounds, and audio frequency forwarding. #611 covers validation boundaries, encoded multipart upload requests, status and error announcements, optional callbacks, and drag-and-drop behavior.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

The change summary lists only the four test files owned by #607, #608, #610, and #611. The PR does not modify the production routes, components, notification module, database helpers, or API handlers. The added mocks and assertions directly support the linked test objectives.

Full details: Title check

Explanation

The title references the four related issue numbers, but it does not describe the main change: adding test coverage for authentication, consolidated stores, notification preferences, and evidence uploads.

Resolution

Use a descriptive title such as "Add test coverage for auth, store reporting, notification preferences, and evidence uploads."

Heads up: CI fails on Prettier for this file.

The pnpm format:check step fails, and this is the only file in the cohort. Run Prettier with --write on it and commit the result. The long it(...) titles and the multi-line render(...) and resolveInFlight(...) calls are the likely causes.

pnpm exec prettier --write apps/web/src/components/disputes/EvidenceUpload.test.tsx

Format the `EvidenceUpload` test file with the project’s Prettier configuration,
including wrapping long `it` titles and calls such as `render` and
`resolveInFlight` as needed; preserve the tests’ behavior.
