Description

I would like a terminal emulator in the console tab or anywhere. So I can write stuff in the terminal directly in the editor instead of pulling out a seperate window. Yeeeeeehah. Cat typing very fast on the keyboard Emote

Proposed Implementation

Use an existing rust terminal emulator crate or write it with your own engine.

Thanks for the suggestion!

A built-in terminal would be useful, but I don't want to pull a full PTY/VT100 implementation into the editor right now. It'd add quite a bit of complexity that isn't really aligned with what I'm focusing on at the moment — Iris UI, rendering, and scene architecture.

I'd rather add a small in-engine command console/REPL to the Console tab for runtime debugging (reload_shaders, stat fps, spawn , etc.).

I'll keep the terminal idea in the backlog for now and maybe revisit it as a plugin later.

Yeah, I didnt intend for you to do it as the next feature. Just as a lingering issue that this would be nice at a later date. Should have written that is not urgent and just a tracking? issue.
