make pdf # -> after-turing.pdf (pdflatex + bibtex, no latexmk required)
make clean # removes build artefacts
Requires pdflatex and bibtex (any TeX distribution, e.g. MacTeX).
.github/workflows/paper.yml runs the same build on every push and pull request, and
fails if the log still reports an undefined reference or citation - pdflatex exits 0 on
those, so CI is what catches a shipped ??.
main.tex- document skeleton, includes eachsections/*.texfile.sections/- one file per section, numbered in reading order.refs.bib- citations.figures/generated/- our own figures, as PDF.figures/external/- third-party images (historical CAPTCHAs from Wikimedia Commons and similar). Every file here carries attribution or licensing obligations, recorded infigures/external/LICENSES.md, credited credited insections/11-figure-credits.tex. Kept separate from our own figures so that "which assets have licence obligations" is answerable from one directory.
