Designed an information system for Puri Gardenia, an outdated hotel in Bandung, Indonesia. Built the database using SQL and created the UI/UX in Figma to modernize hotel operations and improve the guest experience. My contributions focused on database design, SQL development, and UI/UX design.

Puri Gardenia Hotel Information System

Overview

A modernized information system for Puri Gardenia Hotel in Bandung, designed to replace outdated manual booking and data management processes. This project combines data engineering and UI/UX design to streamline hotel operations and improve both staff workflow and guest experience.

Key Highlights

1. End-to-end system design using the Prototype Method to address inefficiencies in manual operations.
   
2. Database engineering with Oracle SQL, including schema design, data modeling, and data entry for testing.
   
3. UI/UX prototypes built with Figma for a user-friendly, web-based hotel booking system.

Project Workflow

1. Research & Analysis
   Mapped out hotel workflows: guest check-in, room booking, transactions, and reporting.
   Identified pain points such as booking errors, slow check-in, and unstructured data.
   
2. Prototype Method
   Developed low-fidelity UI prototypes to validate requirements quickly.
   Gathered stakeholder feedback to refine design before full implementation.
   
3. Database Design
   Designed schema using UML and ERD modeling.
   Built tables and relationships to ensure data integrity:
