HWtoGO is a set of scripts enabling a Hauptwerk (HW) XML Organ Definition File (ODF) to be transformed into one for GrandOrgue (GO).

The scripts are all within the folder Organs, with (usually) one PHP file per sample set. Each script needs to be tailored to the individual organ on question, as

• The HW XML is not well documented
• Some information is usually missing (or maybe can't be found easily)

If you wish to run the scripts yourself, they assume that each sample set is in its own folder under {HOME}/GrandOrgue/Organs (where {HOME} is your home directory) - change the ROOT constant as appropriate.

There are some potentially useful folders:

• GOClasses: contains classes for creating the GO ODF, with one class representing each potential GO object
• HWClasses: contains classes for reading HW data.
