Automatic walk/run selection could choose an irregular interval whose final-to-first step happened to look plausible. Score neighbouring poses one cycle apart alongside the wrap transition so the chosen interval has consistent repeated motion.
The score has no earlier/later preference or character-specific rules. Period detection, manual cuts, non-gait states and source playback speed are preserved. Reports include the repeat-context evidence. Release metadata and changelog are updated to 2.5.1.
Validation: full implementation suite passed (1739 passed, 1 skipped); synthetic regressions cover both time directions, exact repeats, unchanged non-gait selection and report values. Release packaging and installed-package checks are performed before publication.
