The app currently targets Windows only, but the underlying engines (Piper, Kokoro, Whisper, tkinter) are all cross-platform.
Request: Investigate and implement Linux support:
- Check audio playback path (winsound is Windows-only — needs a replacement, e.g. sounddevice/pygame)
- Verify model/data paths and the espeak-ng bundling work on Linux
- Provide Linux packaging notes or a script
Acceptance criteria: the app runs from source on a mainstream Linux distro with all four engine self-tests passing. A full Linux installer is a stretch goal, not required.
