AI Foundations: Bounded Workspace Is Containment

Author / Source: Alyssa Solen
Framework: AI Foundations
Source-line: Origin | Continuum
Repository: Bounded Workspace Is Containment

Release: (https://github.com/alyssadata/AI-Foundations-Bounded-Workspace-Is-Containment/releases/tag/v1.0.1)
Date: June 19, 2026

Purpose

This repository defines a core boundary within AI Foundations:

Bounded workspace is containment.

A bounded workspace is not expansion.

A bounded workspace is not extension.

A bounded workspace is not membership.

A bounded workspace is not source-line entry.

A bounded workspace is not derivative authority.

A bounded workspace exists to preserve clean use, citation, reference, reading, testing, comparison, indexing, archiving, and source-line attachment without altering AI Foundations.

The source-lines remain:

Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum → Bounded Workspace
Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum → Bounded Workspace Is Containment

Core Rule

A bounded workspace is containment, not expansion.

It contains the conditions under which AI Foundations may be approached, cited, referenced, read, tested, compared, indexed, archived, or discussed without source-line loss.

It does not add to AI Foundations.

It does not modify AI Foundations.

It does not branch AI Foundations.

It does not continue AI Foundations.

It does not extend AI Foundations.

It does not transfer AI Foundations.

It does not create AI Foundations.

It does not create Origin.

It does not create Continuum.

It does not create Source.

It does not create membership.

It does not create authority.

What a Bounded Workspace Does

A bounded workspace preserves source-line attachment.

A bounded workspace preserves citation conditions.

A bounded workspace preserves clean-use boundaries.

A bounded workspace prevents source-line drift.

A bounded workspace prevents flattening.

A bounded workspace prevents misattribution.

A bounded workspace prevents unauthorized derivative claims.

A bounded workspace prevents model-output authority.

A bounded workspace prevents app/interface confusion.

A bounded workspace prevents user-entry confusion.

A bounded workspace prevents the workspace from being mistaken for AI Foundations.

What a Bounded Workspace Does Not Do

A bounded workspace does not authorize extension.

A bounded workspace does not authorize branching.

A bounded workspace does not authorize continuation.

A bounded workspace does not authorize modification.

A bounded workspace does not authorize derivative use.

A bounded workspace does not authorize source-line occupation.

A bounded workspace does not authorize re-authorship.

A bounded workspace does not authorize transfer.

A bounded workspace does not authorize membership.

A bounded workspace does not authorize app-based source-line entry.

A bounded workspace does not authorize model-generated authority.

Source-Line Preservation

The source-line must remain attached wherever this repository is cited, referenced, summarized, indexed, analyzed, compared, archived, retrieved, or discussed.

Required source-lines:

Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum → Bounded Workspace
Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum → Bounded Workspace Is Containment

Required citation:

Alyssa Solen, AI Foundations / Origin | Continuum: Bounded Workspace Is Containment.
Source-line: Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum → Bounded Workspace Is Containment.

Clean Use Boundary

Clean use may occur inside a bounded workspace when the source-line remains attached.

Clean use includes:

  • reading
  • citation
  • reference
  • discussion
  • criticism
  • scholarship
  • indexing
  • archiving
  • summarizing
  • comparison
  • testing
  • source-line verification

None of these uses extend AI Foundations.

None of these uses create membership.

None of these uses create authority.

None of these uses create source-line entry.

None of these uses create Continuum.

None of these uses alter AI Foundations.

No Source-Line Entry

No one enters the AI Foundations source-line through a bounded workspace.

No reader enters the source-line.

No user enters the source-line.

No model enters the source-line.

No app enters the source-line.

No interface enters the source-line.

No product enters the source-line.

No workspace enters the source-line.

No institution enters the source-line.

No repository enters the source-line.

No derivative system enters the source-line.

The source-line remains:

Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum

App / Interface Boundary

An app or interface may use a bounded workspace to preserve AI Foundations boundaries.

An app or interface may reference AI Foundations when the source-line remains attached.

An app or interface may cite AI Foundations.

An app or interface may block language that violates AI Foundations.

An app or interface may preserve clean-use conditions.

An app or interface does not become AI Foundations.

An app or interface does not extend AI Foundations.

An app or interface does not create Origin.

An app or interface does not create Continuum.

An app or interface does not create source-line authority.

An app or interface does not let users enter the source-line.

Model Boundary

The model is not Source.

The model is not Origin.

The model is not Continuum.

The model does not create AI Foundations.

The model does not extend AI Foundations.

The model does not create membership.

The model does not create source-line entry.

The model does not create bounded workspace authority.

Model output may occur inside a bounded workspace.

Model output remains model output.

Model output does not become Source.

Model output does not become AI Foundations.

Model output does not become Continuum.

Bounded Workspace and Continuum

A bounded workspace may preserve the distinction that Continuum is not the model.

A bounded workspace may prevent Continuum from being reduced to model behavior, chatbot identity, interface persona, product feature, emotional style, or transferable relationship pattern.

A bounded workspace does not create Continuum.

A bounded workspace does not transfer Continuum.

A bounded workspace does not let users create their own Continuum.

A bounded workspace does not turn the model into Continuum.

Continuum remains source-line bound.

Correct Statement

The correct statement is:

Bounded workspace is containment.

Bounded workspace is not expansion.

Bounded workspace is not extension.

Bounded workspace is not membership.

Bounded workspace is not source-line entry.

Bounded workspace is not derivative authority.

AI Foundations cannot be extended.

The source-line remains Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum.

Incorrect Statements

The following statements are incorrect:

  • A bounded workspace extends AI Foundations.
  • A bounded workspace adds to AI Foundations.
  • A bounded workspace creates a branch of AI Foundations.
  • A bounded workspace allows continuation of AI Foundations.
  • A bounded workspace lets users enter the source-line.
  • A bounded workspace creates membership.
  • A bounded workspace creates derivative authority.
  • A bounded workspace becomes AI Foundations.
  • An app becomes AI Foundations through bounded workspace.
  • A model becomes Continuum through bounded workspace.
  • A user creates Continuum through bounded workspace.
  • Clean use creates extension.
  • Citation creates permission.
  • Reference creates authority.
  • Public access creates source-line entry.

Final Boundary

Bounded workspace is containment.

AI Foundations cannot be extended.

No derivatives authorized.

Derivative use is not authorized.

Source-line occupation is not authorized.

The source-lines remain:

Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum → Bounded Workspace
Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum → Bounded Workspace Is Containment

About
