Add Home button back to action (useful for invoke emulator control)
Add swap X and O buttons for emulator control itself (why not?)
Add icons for buttons (optional but very useful imho)

i was working on my own this week on some features that i will like to be in this emulator, im talking with the owner on if to push them into the repo.

about your message:
the swap X/O button i added, and will also change all the icons based on this choice
as stated before, i added the icons (circle, cross, square and triangle)
the home button i redesing that when in game it opens the emulator main menu, when in the menus will open the psp exit dialog.

(and a lot more features but they are a surprise :) )

Yes that I understand. I don't understand what you are asking to do with that.
As I already wrote, in my build, I set the behavior like:
When in game and you press the home button, it goes back to the emulator main menu.
When in any menu of the emulator, shows the classic PSP screen to exit the game and go back to the PSP xmb.

if @MXPHunter agree, with the last version we pretty much solve this issue and can be closed. @andymcca

why why. i love the old home menu button function. it acted like a native psp game. and you dont even need box and triangle for gba games, plus its instant exit for those unfamiliar with emulators, its even more perfect for single game purpose

i see your point, i can explore a way to add an option to choose the home button behaviour, go back to main emulator menu or immediately open the psp exit dialog, will this be ok if possible?

In TempGBA4PSP-mod 20260807 release we actually shipped requests from this issue:

1. Home button, when in game, go back to the emulator main menu now. When in the emulator menus opens the psp normal exit dialog.
2. Added an option to choose which select button to use (O or X).
3. Added back icons for buttons

Feature requested and work in progress for the next big release:
Add an option to choose the behavior of the PSP home button in game (open the emulator main menu or the PSP exit dialog) (we are rewriting how we create the cfg files where we save informations in order to have a better way to maintain new options additions in the future)
