new single game functionality question

does the new single game functionality (where you use a launcher) work with categories light? i think im doing something wrong since i cant get it to work, i mean i did point that path of a gba rom and the emulator but when i look at xmb it shows file unsupported.

like i don't know the format of the rom_path.txt, and the emulator_path.text. can you give an example that works? so i can copy and paste it, cause i don't know what lines i should delete and keep and what line to put the path for rom and emulator. also i noticed when i copied the path on my laptop it had "/" but the example had ""for subfolders (i mean what i copied in my laptop is different from the example path so im not sure) i apologize if i have so many questions, its just that im having a hard time understanding the new way.

btw in the main emulator for box arts. what was the "folder_boxart" for? cause i tried to put pngs there and it didn't detect it and i notice another line in dir.ini that points "boxart = roms" so i put the png in roms and its working, then i changed the cmd in dir.ini for "boxart= (boxarts )" and made a new folder names boxarts and put the pngs there intead of in the roms and it still works ( i moved the pngs in roms to boxarts so that the .gba and .png are separated) now its more organized and I'm just wondering what's the last line in dir.ini for (folder_boxart=) cause when i removed it it had an error when i start the emulator so i put it back but i don't know its purpose.

yes our single game funtionality works fine with categories lite (tested myself).

if the xmb it shows file unsupported it can mean that the eboot.pbp is corrupted. this can be because of the title (some special characters cant be used i think, didnt test this a lot for lack of time honestly). can i ask you to reply with the title that you input so i can test it?

ill give you an example that works fine for me:
rom_path.txt = ms0:/PSP/GBA/ROMS/Pokemon Odyssey (Italiano) (v4.1.4).gba
emulator_path.txt = ms0:/PSP/GAME/CAT_01GBA_Emulators/tempgba4psp-mod/EBOOT.PBP

the folder_boxart is to assign a folder icon an image of you choice (like we have for the rom files), you put an image with the name of the folder and it is shown in the carousel mode into the folder icon. Notice that it will probably missbehave if you have 2 folders with the same name, meaning that if you have 2 folders with the same name in different paths, they both will have the picture of the png with that name (finding a way to make it unique was not on my priority list at the time and still is not for how little use is this feature)

i apologize if the feature and the explanation in the readmes are confusing, ill try to make them clearer in the future.

ohh so thats what it was for, it clear now, no worries. also, it might be that the eboot i downloaded is corrupted. ill test it again later by redownloading. thanks for the reply ^^
